Polymath Plus

Polymath Plus

The Polymath Plus project seeks to enable collaborative mathematical discovery. It is being developed by the Human Computation Institute with partners and support from Renaissance Philanthropy. The project builds on the original Polymath Project, launched in 2009 by Sir Tim Gowers, which demonstrated that mathematicians and the broader public could work together online to solve complex problems. These collaborations, conducted through blogs and wikis, led to meaningful advances in mathematical research. The PolyPlus platform leverages new technologies and methods to improve collaboration at scale. It provides a shared space where participants can work together on proofs, explore mathematical ideas, and contribute to ongoing research. The platform introduces AI-assisted, interactive, graph-based representations of proofs, making it easier to follow the structure of complex arguments and understand how individual steps connect.
